Motorcycle Gear Box Cover

Metalspun Products Co., Inc. specializes in forming, shaping, and machining of virtually any metal shape, including complex and irregularly shaped parts. Our custom hydroforming services allow us to economically produce any number of custom steel, aluminum, brass components. This steel gear box cover was formed in both left and right configurations for our customer in the motorcycle industry.

The covers are formed from 18 gauge steel and measure 9" x 6" x 1-5/8" with tolerances as tight as ±.020". After forming, the covers are further machined with the appropriate slots and holes and then polished to the customer's specifications. Dimensional inspection with our CMM equipment is performed on finished components. We produce 100-200 of these cover per production run with a typical lead time of 5-6 weeks to our customer in Burlington, Wisconsin.
